Island Windjammers Photo Contest

You cruise with Island Windjammers for the experiences and the memories. When we collectively share our experiences, it keeps the memories fresh and makes life that much nicer.

How to Enter

Digital photos must be submitted by e-mail to photos@islandwindjammers.com. An individual may submit only two photos per category per contest. A separate e-mail entry is required for each entry if you are submitting multiple photos.

Each email must include:

Subject Line: Island Windjammers Photo Contest
In the body of the email, you must include the following:
- Your full name
- The category of your photo:
  - Why Island Windjammers is a dream come true.
  - What I want to escape from.
- Caption for your photo (200 character maximum)

Images should be submitted in JPG (at high quality) and file sizes must be less than 500K (per image). Digital images will not be returned. No watermarks, signatures, or copyright notices may be added to images. All winning images will be displayed with the photographer's name.

Official Contest Rules

No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win.

Entries must be received by June 1, 2010, 11:59pm ET. To enter, you must be at least 21 years of age. Employees, Board members and their immediate family members of Island Windjammers are not eligible. Entries must be in digital format and can be color or black and white.

All photos must be relevant to one of the two contest categories:

Why Island Windjammers is a dream come true.
What I want to escape from.

Winners

Winners will receive a special Island Windjammers golf shirt and hat. Winners will be notified approximately 2-3 weeks after the contest deadline at the email address used to submit entries. Winning photographs, along with the photographer's name and caption, will be displayed on the Island Windjammers website or other public web page. Winners will have the option to have their email address included with their name.

Judging

Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and effectiveness in conveying the contest categories. An Island Windjammers panel will judge the entries and all contest decisions are final.

Photographer/Copyright

You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Your submission of the photo and e-mail is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the photo, and the recognizable people in the photo permit you to submit the photo with their likeness.

Photographers retain the copyright to their photographs. By entering the contest, photographers agree to have their submitted photograph displayed on the Island Windjammers website without any fee or other form of compensation. Photos will be credited to the photographer named in the e-mail. Entries (including non-winning entries) may be selected for display or use by Island Windjammers without additional permission from the photographer.
