Vela

Pronounced /VELL-ah/, her name literally means ‘sail’ as well as being an astrological reference to the sails of the Argo Navis constellation.  Vela is an authentic three-masted tall ship with soul, grace, and stories in every line of her rigging. Come sail her farewell season between November 2025 and June 2026 and become part of her living legacy. She’ll be back, but her extensive refit will take some time.

This Island Girl has been catching eyes and skipping hearts on the Caribbean horizon with IWJ since 2015.  Vela offers the perfect blend of traditional nautical elegance and laid-back island spirit. With capacity for just 26 guests, including dedicated solo cabins, she promises an authentic small-ship cruising experience where everyone is family, not a face in the crowd.
