Island Windjammers Cruise Pricing

2010-2011 6 Night Cruise Rates:
Low Season (May 29, 2011 - December 17, 2011): $1799 per week

2011-2012 6 Night Cruise Rates:
High Season (December 18, 2011 - May 26, 2012): $1999 per week
Low Season (May 27, 2012 - December 15, 2012): $1799 per week

6 Night cruise rates are in US funds, per person based upon double occupancy, unless noted otherwise. Rates are inclusive of all onboard meals and snacks, beverages (water, juice, soda, beer, wine, and rum punch), port charges and taxes, and complimentary use of snorkel gear for the week.

Home Port: Grenada (airport code: GND)
Boarding: Sundays (through July 1, 2012).** Boarding time will be detailed in your boarding documents.
Disembarkation: Saturday at 10:00 a.m. through July 7, 2012

**Effective July 20, 2012, all weekly cruises will board on Fridays at 3:00 PM and disembark the following Thursday at 10 AM**


Getting to Grenada

From the U.S.
American Airlines offers non-stop flights from Miami to Grenada on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (returning direct from Grenada to Miami on Saturdays, Mondays, and Thursdays).

American Eagle and Liat Airlines fly non-stop to Grenada from San Juan. Air Tran and Jet Blue both offer discount service to San Juan from many US departure cities.

Caribbean Airlines and Delta Airlines offer direct service (seasonal schedules may apply) from JFK. Please check with the airlines for specifics.

Many US carriers offer reasonably priced flights to Bridgetown, Barbados, and Port of Spain, Trinidad. Liat Airlines has commuter service to Grenada from both Barbados and Trinidad. Caribbean Airlines has commuter service from Trinidad.

From Canada
Air Canada Vacations operates a seasonal direct flight from Toronto to Grenada (Sunday departure) with easy connections from major Canadian gateways . Air Canada operates daily flights from Toronto to Barbados, with connections on Caribbean Airlines operate regularly scheduled flights from Toronto to Barbados and Trinidad, also with connections on LIAT to Grenada. GG Tours and Titan Tours operate seasonal charter services. West Jet operates flights year round from Toronto to Barbados, with connections on LIAT to Grenada.

From the UK
British Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Golden Caribbean - Monarch Airlines service Grenada with weekly direct flights from London's Gatwick Airport.

From the Caribbean
LIAT Airlines provides connections into Grenada's Maurice Bishop International Airport from many Caribbean islands, along with connections to International flights from Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia and Trinidad.


Terms and Conditions

Single Occupancy
We welcome singles. Solo travelers pay the normal cruise rate and will be paired with a same-sex cabin mate. If available, individuals sailing alone who prefer an entire cabin to themselves (2 berths) will be charged a “Single Supplement” fare. This guarantees that the traveler won't have a cabin mate. The Single Supplement fare for 6 night low season cruises is $3148. The Single Supplement fare for 6 night high season cruises is $3498.

Single Supplement fare conditions apply ONLY to full fare 6 night cruises. For discounted weeks and extended cruises, please check Single Supplement fare availability with one of our reservations agents.

Single Supplement travel is limited to travel in cabins 1 and 2.  We reserve the right to limit the number of Single Supplement cabins sold per sailing. Black out dates and restrictions and holiday surcharges may apply.

Children
Children ages 12-18 will pay $100 less than the regular cruise fare. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted. Passengers 17 years of age or less must be accompanied by an adult. Black out dates and restrictions apply.

Maximum Capacity
The Diamant can carry a maximum of 12 passengers.  Availability for singles and children is subject to capacity controls.

Reservations Procedure
Payments made by check must be drawn on a US bank in US funds. A Cruise Deposit of $500 per guest ($1000 per guest for trips longer than six nights) is required at the time of booking to protect your cruise rate from increases and to guarantee your cruise reservation.

Acceptable Forms of Payment
We accept Visa, Master Card or Discover. We also accept personal and agency checks, unless payment is for reservations made within 30 days of sailing.

Final Payment
Final Payment is due no later than 90 days prior to sailing or space will be canceled and deposit forfeited. All bookings made within 90 days of sailing require immediate payment in full.

Checks will not be accepted for payment within 30 days of sailing.

Reservations are subject to cancellation if payment is not received by the due date.

Payment requirements for groups and charters will differ.

Cruise Cancellations

To receive a deposit refund, notification of cancellation must be received no later than 90 days prior to the sailing date.

Refund and cancellation policy for bookings made after April 1, 2011:

Cruises cancelled 90 days or more from the sailing date will receive a deposit refund, less a $200.00 per person ($400.00 per person for trips longer than six nights) cancellation fee.

Cruises cancelled 89 to 45 days prior to the sailing date will receive a 50% fare refund, less a $200.00 per person ($400.00 per person for trips longer than six nights) cancellation fee.

Cruises cancelled with 45 days of the sailing date are non-refundable.

Protect your investment. We strongly suggest purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

Administrative Fees and Refunds
Cruise deposits or payments not received within 24 hours of the due date will be subject to a $50 late fee. Changes to reservations will result in an administrative fee of $100.00 per person ($200 for cruises longer than six nights). Sailing dates cannot be changed within 90 days of embarkation. Refunds will be processed as outlined above. Island Windjammers, Inc. has no obligation or liability to passengers for cancellation and/or non-use of all or a portion of a voyage or other services, whether or not due to causes beyond passengers’ control.

Travel Requirements

All passengers are required to have valid passports. Visas may be required for non-U.S. citizens in certain ports. Without the proper entry requirements, passengers may not be able to disembark in certain ports of call. All travel documents such as passports, visas, and proof of citizenship, required for disembarkation at various ports of call are the responsibility of the passenger. Consult your consulate to determine documentary requirements or entry permits. Passengers will not be permitted to sail without proper documentation. No refund of cruise fare will be given to any passenger failing to bring such documentation. Please note that passengers name must be exactly as it appears on his or her passport.  Identification documents must be surrendered to the purser upon boarding and will be held until the end of the cruise.

General Information

Right to Refuse Passage
Island Windjammers reserves the right to refuse passage to any guest for any reason. These include, but are not limited to: rude or antisocial behavior, health and/or safety risks to self or others, overconsumption of alcohol, or possession of illegal substances.

Rights Reserved and Limits of Responsibility
The following terms and conditions and contract of passage contained in your cruise ticket govern the transportation of passengers and their baggage.   It is recommended that you take the time to read the terms carefully, as reserving passage on the vessel constitutes acceptance of the terms.

Responsibility / Independent Contractor / Limit of Liability
Island Windjammers, Inc.’s liability and responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel.  Any arrangements made by or for the passenger before boarding or when disembarking are at the passenger’s own risk. Island Windjammers, Inc. does not own or control airlines, ground transportation or hotels. Island Windjammers, Inc. cannot be responsible for late arrivals resulting from unexpected delays or interruptions in travel.

As a convenience to our passengers, Island Windjammers, Inc. may arrange shore excursions or other services which are operated by independent contractors. Island Windjammers, Inc. shall not be responsible in any way for any damage, loss or injury arising in conjunction with services provided by these contractors.  Any claim for injury or dissatisfaction with services must be addressed directly with the tour operator or service provider.

Island Windjammers, Inc. reserves the right to refuse passage to anyone if the scheduled trip is judged to constitute a risk to his or her well-being, or that of other passengers.

The company’s responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel.

Advanced or Delayed Sailings/Itinerary Changes
Island Windjammers has the right to cancel, advance, postpone or substitute any scheduled sailings, itinerary or port-of-call without notice. Island Windjammers may, but is not obligated to, substitute another vessel for sailing and cannot be liable for loss to passengers by reason of such cancellation, advancement, postponement or substitution. The Captain's judgment on any action or inaction is considered final. Reservations are subject to change in the event of a full ship charter.

Medical Condition/Physical Disability
Any dietary requirements, medical condition, or physical disability must be reported to Island Windjammers when a reservation is made. The ship owners, their employees and agents reserve the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who is, in their sole judgment, in such physical or mental condition as to be unfit for travel, or who may require care and attention beyond which the ship owners or their employees can provide.  Any complication due to a pregnancy that may arise or occur during a cruise will not be the responsibility or the liability of the ship owners, their employees or agents.

Tours/Optional Excursions
Tours/excursions are optional and not included in the cruise fare. Some tours are strenuous. Participants must be in good physical condition. Participants must have proper attire to participate in tours . Examples include hiking shoes, sneakers (no slick bottom shoes or sandals), and sunscreen. Tour operators act as independent contractors. Any claim for injury or dissatisfaction must be addressed to the tour operator directly.

Personal Property and Luggage
Island Windjammers, Inc. is not responsible for luggage, personal property or loss, theft or damage of same.  Travel documents (boarding pass, cruise ticket, passport and airline tickets), medications and valuables should be hand carried.  We recommend packing light. We ask that you clearly label your luggage with your full name and cabin number. In the event luggage is lost or delayed in transit, IWJ will assist in retrieving the luggage, but will not be responsible for any costs incurred.

Smoking
Smoking is allowed in open air areas only. Dispose of cigarette butts in appropriate receptacles. Cigarette butts are not bio-degradable and pose a threat to marine and wildlife.  Absolutely no smoking in enclosed areas or below decks. This policy is strictly enforced. Fire is a serious safety hazard on board ship. Anyone caught tampering with smoke detectors, smoking in enclosed areas, or smoking while the ship is fueling, will be taken off of the ship at the closest island. He/she will be responsible for finding his/her own transportation back to Grenada.

Photographs/Video
During the course of a cruise, Island Windjammers, Inc., may photograph, film, or record passengers and activities.  Island Windjammers, Inc. is hereby authorized to take and to use such photographs and videos for marketing and training purposes without being obligated to compensate the passenger.

Pets
Pets are not permitted.

Visitors
Visitors are not allowed onboard due to security regulations.

In addition to the above conditions, passengers are also subject to Terms and Conditions as outlined on the Boarding Pass and Final Confirmation.

Schedules, rates, home ports and ports-of-call are subject to change without notice.
