Island Windjammers Cruises

Meet Our Fleet

Two lovely tall sailing ships, each with unique characteristics and both equally desirable.

With their smaller capacities, each of our vessels hosts an intimate number of guests. Cabins are air conditioned, feature private facilities, portholes and standard 110V a/c. Island Windjammers takes pride in offering award winning cruises on well maintained and refurbished windjammer tall ships. Our Comittment to Safety

It is our goal to provide the best possible cruising experience for our guests. We believe that begins with an unshakeable foundation in safety and seamanship.

Island Windjammers continuously strives to maintain all safety gear to the highest standards. Our vessels are fully equipped with all required firefighting, navigation, and safety equipment. Safety equipment inspections are performed in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Survival equipment includes life rings, life vests for all passengers and crew, and emergency life rafts large enough to accommodate all guests and crew.

Our crewmembers are highly trained in emergency procedures. Crewmembers are required to carry current STCW 95 certifications. STCW 95 is an arduous and comprehensive internationally recognized course, which trains individuals in firefighting, survival, personal safety and social responsibility, and first aid.

In addition, our crewmembers are certified in Red Cross Basic Life Support techniques. An automatic external defibrillator is carried onboard;. An oxygen tank and oxygen delivery equipment is also carried onboard the vessel. Crewmembers participate in weekly emergency and safety drills.

General vessel safety recommendations and emergency procedures, including a muster drill, are reviewed with all guests prior to setting sail. Life vests are located in every cabin. An additional full complement of life vests is stored on deck.

The safety of our guests and crew is our top priority.

Island Windjammers looks forward to welcoming you aboard!
